The Richmond Spiders take on the Dayton Flyers in the semifinals of the A10 tournament. Both teams have had great seasons, but will most likely need to win the tournament to get into the big dance.

Richmond won their game yesterday against a tough VCU team. I personally was backing VCU and Richmond came out and put their stamp on that game. Richmond has a great scoring guard in Jacob Gilyard, who scored 32 points last night. He will need another big game against another tough opponent if they expect to beat Dayton. Richmond is an average team on both sides of the ball, but they play hard!

Dayton is currently the favorite to win the A10 tournament, but will need to play better today than they did yesterday against a terrible UMass team. They played from behind in the majority of the game, but finished with a 3pt victory. Dayton relies on a top tiered defense and great shot selection on the offensive side. They may not score a ton, but they shoot high percentage shots from the floor and from behind the arc.

Dayton is a much better team than Richmond and have proven this in their games against each other over the past few seasons. Dayton will need to play much better than yesterday to pull out a victory! They have good guard play and are much better in the paint and can control the glass.
