Middle Tennessee is on a hot streak, winning 3 in a row at home by significant margins. But what makes me really love this game is the spread statistics. MTSU is 13-3 against the spread this year, covering 81% of their games played. Marshall is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum, going 3-12-2 against the spread so far. This is a perfect storm of underrated and overrated teams in the Conference USA. Go for the underdog on the road.

Very few teams can keep up with Purdue this year, and Iowa is not one of them. Zach Edey is an impossible matchup for any team, let alone the small Hawkeyes. Iowa doesn’t have a starter over 6’9 which could lead to disaster against an elite center. They might have a solid record for now but they haven’t beat anyone particularly good and this is a mismatch. Taking Purdue by less than a possession is an easy call.

Coming off only their 3rd loss of the season, the Badgers will have a chance to get right tonight at Nebraska. With the odds on favorite for the Wooden Award in Johnny Davis and excellent veteran play from Brad Davison and Tyler Wahl, the Badgers have inserted themselves into the top tier of college basketball. Nebraska on the other hand hasn’t won a single conference game this year and is prone to being blown out. If the Badgers want to consider themselves contenders for the national championship, this is a game they have to win by a big margin. If Tyler Wahl is playing, this becomes the pick of the year.
