No team in the NFL has a better record than the Detroit Lions this season, who since their week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have recorded 10 straight wins, taking them to 11-1. Despite this impressive record, they are yet to secure their division with the Vikings and Packers only 1 and 2 wins behind them respectively. They face the Green Bay Packers this Thursday Night and a win could all but knock the Packers out of the NFC North race. Both of these teams rank in the top three for offensive yards per game (Det - 395.2 YPG, 2nd; GB - 382.9 YPG, 3rd), but the Lions outclass the entire NFL in turning these yards into points (31.9 PPG, 1st). Whilst the Lions may have a slight edge both offensively and defensively, weβre still going to take the Packers to cover the spread on Thursday Night. In two out of Detroitβs three division games this year, the games have only been decided by less than 3 points. We expect this trend to continue on Thursday Night Football.
