Is Texas Tech still who we thought they were after a tough loss to TCU on the road? They won’t really have a chance to prove themselves tonight but they definitely have a chance to lose themselves. Two losses in a row to unranked teams would be devastating and they can’t let that happen.

The best teams play some of their best ball after losses and I think Texas Tech should be in that conversation. They are top to bottom a much better team than Kansas State and will be eager to put a bad loss behind them. They’ve covered in all 6 games this year following a loss - at home the Raiders will blow out K-state well into the double digits.

You may not know much about the Alcorn State Braves, so let me give you a quick rundown. They opened the season losing 11 of 12 games in a stacked schedule including games at Baylor, Gonzaga, Houston and Oklahoma. They’re a buy-a-win team who statistically looks really tough. Then come conference play, they’ve played very competitively and sit in second place, one game behind Texas Southern who they play tonight.

We know the statistics are misleading, so we can get an edge as gamblers, and we have. Alcorn State is 14-6 against the spread away from home as they are tonight. They’ve beat Texas Southern already this season, in a battle for the conference I would be shocked if this one doesn’t come down to the wire, so give me the underdogs plus a solid spread.
