I can understand if you’re mad about this pick. I’ve gone back and forth on Rutgers too many times this season but this is a matchup I know. Rutgers has been unstoppable at home, but Wisconsin has a lot going for them here. As far as the intangibles, first there’s the revenge factor. Wisconsin has beat every Big Ten team they’ve faced… with the exception of Rutgers. A win tonight would give them those impressive honors on the season (with only Purdue and Nebraska left, both Wisconsin has already beat).

If you trust Vegas, this is going to be a close one and that bodes well for the money line bet. Wisconsin has the best record in the country in games decided by 6 or fewer points at 13-1. They’ve shown over the past few games that they can win without a crazy performance from Johnny Davis, there are 5 legit players on this team who can carry down the stretch (adding Crowl to this after the great game against Minnesota). Wisconsin might be the best team in the Big Ten and this is a great chance to prove it, in one of their toughest road matchups of the season.

This is the matchup of the day. The Vols have been unbelievable at home with only one loss to Texas Tech in overtime. Auburn has just been just plain incredible, and although they’ve dropped a couple of games this month, they should still be considered a threat to win it all.

Tennessee changed my opinion with the win over Kentucky, but I still wouldn’t put them in that same category of Auburn. The tigers are probably the most complete team in the country and Tennessee just doesn’t match up well at almost any position. Especially after losing to Florida, Auburn can’t afford another loss if they want the 1 seed. They’ll be coming locked in today and when it comes down to it, I’m trusting Auburn at their best. There won’t be many opportunities to get Auburn at plus money this year, take it while you can.
