Arkansas pulled off an awesome game against Gonzaga and had their underdog moment. They did it by playing fast and aggressive and beating up on the Zags lack of elite guard play. Unfortunately, those are things that will be very difficult to do against Duke. Duke has elite athletes at every position and as we saw Thursday night, down the stretch they play their best ball. There are too many players capable of taking over scoring that Arkansas can’t quite match up. They play very disciplined and it’s unlikely they’ll get in foul trouble as the Zags did. They’ve also got a deep enough roster that when the stars do get in foul trouble, they can afford to hold them out of the game for long stretches.
Duke is starting to look like the team that could win it all and as great as Arkansas has looked, they’re running into one of the best.
