Cortes is the exact type of pitcher the Astros hit well. He had 2 strikeouts and 3 strikeouts in his games against the Guardians and the Astros are very similar in terms of how little they strikeout.

I think he allows at least two runs in this game with how well the Astros hit lefties. They scored 3 off him when they faced him earlier this season. He’s been walking batters as well, I think the Astros are able to get plenty of baserunners off him today.

• Jose Trevino Under 0.5 Total Bases +100

No reason to get off this play, he is 0 for 5 in his career against McCullers and 1 for 18 this postseason. He is batting at the bottom of the order so he shouldn’t have more than 3 at bats.

• Oswaldo Cabrera Under 0.5 Total Bases -140

Cabrera has never seen McCullers so I think it will take him a couple at bats to see his stuff. He is also just 2 for 24 this postseason with his only two hits coming in the same game. He has looked completely lost after being the Yankees hottest hitter to end the season. The off time did not do him well.

I am not sure why this is still at 0.5 so we will keep taking it. He is 9 for 26 this postseason with a hit in five of his six games and multiple hits in three games. He is 3 for 6 in his career against Cortes Jr. with a home run.

• Yuli Gurriel Over 0.5 Total Bases -200

Once again, if these are at 0.5, we have to keep taking them. Gurriel is 10 for 26 this postseason with hits in four straight games and five of his six playoff games. He is 2 for 6 in his career against Cortes with a home run.

• Chas McCormick Over 0.5 Total Bases -130

McCormick has really heated up this postseason going 5 for 16 with a hit in four of his five games. He has never seen Cortes Jr., but he crushes lefties at a .340/.409/.563 slash line in 103 at bats this season. He should get at least one, and hopefully two at bats against Cortes.
