Manny Machado faces a lefty today. That’s it, that’s the article….
Alright, I don’t think Flashpicks would approve of me leaving it at that. There’s a lot of intriguing stats to back Machado tonight that I must get into. Lets start with Lefties. Manny has 11 hits in 24 at bats so far this season, good for a .458 average. He has a terrific .375 ISO and he has racked up 20 total bases so far this season against south paws in those 24 at bats.
He checks several other boxes as well. He’s batting 15/36 at home for a .417 average and .306 ISO in San Diego. He has also favored night games going 25/58 with a .431 average and .276 ISO. It’s quite rare to find all splits all with a .400+ average so I’ll happily take advantage and bet on Manny to have a great night at the plate.
