The former number 1 prospect in baseball, Wander Franco, sure has not disappointed. Last season, he accomplished an incredible feat of reaching base in 43 consecutive games. This season he is off to a very fast start. He is 7th in the league in batting average, he is tied for first in total bases with 40, and faces a lefty today which makes him an auto play in my eyes. This season he is 7/15 with a .467 average vs southpaws. Small sample size I know, but he reinforced his dominance vs lefties with a .357 average in his rookie season. He should tee off on the slow throwing Rich Hill who really only uses a “fast”ball and curveball.
As for Wander’s other splits, he’s great at home and he’s great in day games. He is hitting .342 at home so far and .375 in day games.
