This is the perfect matchup for Anthony Edwards and we are getting a softer line after last game.
Ant has sold me so much if it was anyone else this would likely be a 2 unit play however he can randomly be passive at times but it’s the playoffs and the Wolves need to make this one competitive I expect a bounce back from Ant who has scored 9,19,18 in his L3 games.
He shot 6-15 last game and really could’ve hit this if not for the blowout while KCP is a good defender there’s no arguing that he is not elite the Nuggets best defender is Gordon and he is giving up a lot of size to KAT however, with Jokic at the paint this is a prime matchup for Ant & I expect the Wolves to make sure they exploit that matchup and make Jokic work defensively. With Conley out there Ant turns into more of a scorer than when he played with DLO & we are getting a 23.5 line for Edwards in a playoff game against a B15 defense & a team allowing the #9 most points in the paint which is where Ant excels (going downhill) if Ant is aggressive he will have no problem giving us the volume needed to cover this line it’s all about shooting just decently if he shoots around 40% even I like our chances as long as he stays aggressive realistically nobody can stop him on Denver especially when you consider AG being forced to guard KAT after the last few games I am VERY confident Ant comes out here aggressive and takes over. Denver is also ranked 8th worst in the NBA in defensive efficiency vs shooting guards likely due to some bad rim protection too as they are able to get easy shots at the rim If Edwards comes out attacking I see no way he doesn’t go over this line in a soft matchup.
