There are positives and negatives to the betting angles on this NBA Finals, and they hold pretty well with the entirety of the playoffs this year. On the plus side, there have been very few loss/covers. Especially in games involving the Warriors and the Celtics, the overwhelming majority of winners also continued to cover, IE not close games. As for negatives, there haven’t been any very consistent teams. In the Finals especially, it’s hard to tell which Warriors will show up, the record setting all-time shooters or the old men who can’t keep up on defense.
Either way, at this point it seems like the two teams have shown what they can do. And if the Celtics play their best ball, avoiding turnovers and continuing the high effort defense, the Warriors can’t keep up. The margin of error is so much higher on the Celtics side it’s hard not to pick them in every game. And since a win this year equals a cover, the Boston spread at home is easily the best bet tonight.
