There’s been a lot of hype for this finals and rightfully so. Two historic franchises and big markets with legit stars on both sides. And as most sharp bettors know, there are two things that happen when the public starts to bet heavily. They bet the favorite and the over. So finding the value is going to be on the under or the underdog. The underdog Celtics are just too close to call. The game should go down to the wire and either team could cover on end-of-game free throws.
That brings us to the under which looks very appealing at 214. The Celtics totals have been very low in the playoffs because of the stellar perimeter defense. This could look like a shootout but the Celtics have been able to force bad shots from everyone they’ve faced so far. The only difference here is that the Warriors at times even make all the bad shots. Ultimately that’s the risk, that the Warriors just come in and shoot the lights out. But the more likely scenario is Boston keeps it tight on defense and this total goes well under.
