Will the Grizzlies be the 4th team in a row to end a 3-2 series on the road? My guess is no. The Timberwolves have been great at home all season, and no exception for the playoffs. There aren’t any glaring deficiencies or mismatches on either side, which is a great opportunity to stick to the numbers. And by the numbers, home underdogs of small margins in elimination games are very good bets. You don’t need to tell me about the results of all 3 games last night, that’s why we have to mix the numbers with intuition. Plus water finds its level and these trends do even out eventually.

I’m not giving up on D Lo. On his good days, the dude can just plain go off. Memphis has really been keying on Anthony Edwards recently and the shot numbers will go down. Russell should have no problem making up the gap as confident of a shooter as he is. To get confident in him knocking down 3 deep ones, he would have to take 6 attempts, which he’s done in all but the last game of this series. In an elimination game, this guy wants the shots and he’ll get them.
