Josh Hart Over 4.5 Assists
Experience will play a massive role in Tuesday’s Final and there’s very few players that’ll be on that court that have played in more meaningful games than Josh Hart. The 30-year old Villanova product has appeared in 24 games for the Knicks this season, averaging exactly 5 assists per game and being the motor of this team. His numbers have gone slightly up over the past 10 games, he’s at 5.7 assists per game after we saw him dish out 6 dimes in the semi-final win over the Magic. He’s played a crucial part in the Knicks success over the past two seasons, coming up big in moments when the team was severely hit by the injury bug and that experience alone will motivate him to play well and win his first trophy as a New York Knick.
Miles Bridges 2+ Made Threes
Although he went 0-for-1 from three in the win over Orlando, Bridges still contributed heavily for New York with his standard 16 points on over 53% shooting. This time around I’m hoping he does make an impact on the game from the perimeter, given that he’s shooting over 40% from distance so far this season. From his time in Phoenix through his stint with the Nets and now with the Knicks, Bridges has consistently delivered some of his biggest performances vs San Antonio. The last 7 meetings have seen him average 22 points per game against this team, just two games ago he dropped 41 points on them while shooting a stunning 68% from the field. During his stretch he’s averaging 3.1 threes per game on 52.4% efficiency, with those type of numbers it would be foolish not to back him to do well here.
De'Aaron Fox Over 4.5 Assists
The seasoned veteran has had a rough journey so far in his career and with a chance to finally win something you just know he will leave his heart out there on the court on Tuesday. Fox has played a tremendous season so far, despite being injured for the first couple of weeks after dealing with a hamstring issue in the offseason. He hasn’t missed a beat since coming back, averaging almost the exact same numbers last season. His team is winning though and that’s the most important thing to him. Over the last 10 meetings with the Knicks he’s averaging 6.9 assists per game, we only need 5 from him for our bet to cash. With the Knicks struggling a bit to defend the perimeter, expect Fox to get his shooters involved here and hopefully they can get him to 5 assists.
Stephon Castle 2+ Made Threes
Only De’Aaron Fox and Victor Wembanyama are averaging more points per game than Stephon Castle this season for the Spurs. Being the 3rd option on offense is exactly the role Castle will flourish in and the numbers are backing that up. His 22 points played a huge role in the Spurs upsetting the Thunder in the NBA Cup semi-final, prior to that he dropped a cool 30 on the Lakers in what was another upset win. Whenever you have a player that’s shooting the lights out, you have to make the most out of it and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing here. Castle’s three-ball is at 46.2% in his last 3 games, that’s a number I just cannot ignore ahead of a game like this. The last time he faced the Knicks he finished with 22 points and made exactly 2 threes on 4 attempts, we can only hope he does the same in Tuesday’s Final.
