This is a big game for both teams as they sit in the 8 and 9th spot in the Western Conference. Both will be clawing to win this to lock themselves into play in tournament territory. Minutes should be high for a lot the Pels key guys. That creates an interesting opportunity for Jonas Valanciunas that I’m looking to take advantage of.
Jonas hates the Clippers. I don’t know why, and it’s not up to me to decide why. It’s just up to me to recognize that. I’m not sure what it is about this matchup, but boy does he seem to enjoy it. This will be his fourth time playing the Clips this season. In the prior 3 games, Jonas has averaged 27.7 points and 14.7 rebounds. This is no fluke as Centers have crushed the Clips most of the season, and they have allowed the 6th most points and 7th most reb to C over the last 30 days. One of my favorite parts about this play is Jonas’ recent min. He’s played 37, 35, and 38 min in the last 3 as they games have become very important for the Pels. As long as he can stay out of foul trouble, this should be another massive performance for him.
