This matchup favors the Iowa State Cyclones. They just won the Big 12 Championship and dominated in their opening game of the tournament. Washington State will have their hands full but have been a solid team all year long.
In their first game Washington State got the best of Drake. Drake held their own in that contest but Washington State was just consistently a little but better all game. It was a weak PAC 12 Conference this year for Washington State and they had the second-best record in the conference. They were able to beat Arizona twice as well, which shows they can take down some of the top teams in the country.
For Iowa State, they were dominant all year. That included winning the Big 12 in a game against Houston by 28 points who is a No. 1 seed. In the first round South Dakota State was no match for them as they won by 17 points. South Dakota State held with them in the first half but Iowa State was able to maintain and build their lead all game. They should be a big favorite in this one and show they are one of the top teams in the country.
