Smith is one of, if not the best, wide receivers in the country and is working with the quarterback who leads the nation in completion percentage (78.4%). They are facing a Wisconsin defense 64th in passing yards and 102nd in pass defense efficiency.

Analyst’s Take / Expert Note

It is so easy to fall for the big-name schools that traditionally play well. But we are in a new age where NIL money makes it a matter of finances for anyone to attract top talent. Big Ten fans know and love Michigan, but the Wolverines are not a contender this season. Washington is the better team.

If anyone benefits from name recognition, it’s Notre Dame. They’ve beaten up mediocre teams in the last four weeks, making them look better than they are. USC is not a mediocre team.
