Same Game Parlay (SGP): UCLA vs. Ohio State

  • Bo Jackson (OSU), OVER 72.5 Rushing Yards at -114

He has gone OVER this mark in just three of six conference games, including the last two, while getting from 10-17 carries a game. He has a favorable matchup vs. a UCLA defense that ranks 121st against the run, allowing 191 yards per game on the ground.

  • Nico Iamaleava, OVER 113.5 Passing Yards at -114

Nico failed to go OVER that TOTAL against Indiana (113 yards) but has otherwise had 136+ yards in every game. But since UCLA will be playing from behind most of the game, he’ll likely be throwing the ball early and often.

  • CJ Donaldson, 2+ TDs at +185

I’m taking a chance here because the pricing for ‘Anytime TDs’ for OSU’s primary scoring threats is not good. Donaldson has scored twice in two of his last four games, and the team calls his number often near the goal line.

  • SGP Odds: +1004

A $100 wager will result in a $ 1,104 payday, your stake plus $ 1,004 in winnings.

Top Player Props

  • Fernando Mendoza (Indiana), OVER 237.5 Passing Yards at -114 (vs. Wisconsin)

He has cleared this number twice in conference play. Teams tend to lean heavily on the pass against the Badgers' defense, and the Hoosiers will likely do the same. With the talent on this roster, he should easily surpass this TOTAL.

  • Kamari Moulton (Iowa), Over 74.5 rushing yards at -114 (vs. USC)

Moulton has gone OVER this mark for his last five games. Against a lackluster USC run defense on what’s expected to be a rainy day, a heavy dose of Moulton is probably in the Iowa game plan.

Best Bets (Straight Picks)

  • Indiana, OVER 20.5 Points at -114 (vs. Wisconsin)

The Hoosiers have gone OVER this mark in just three of seven conference games. Wisconsin’s defense is decent, but it is not going to be able to slow down an Indiana offensive machine looking to reassert itself after a close call against Penn State last weekend.

  • Northwestern +11.5 (vs. Michigan at Wrigley Field)

Northwestern does not have a high-powered offense, but Michigan’s was certainly missing something last week vs. Purdue with Justice Haynes out. I expect the Wolverines to win, but without Haynes, they will not have enough offense against a decent Wildcats team to cover the spread.

Analyst’s Take / Expert Note

  • Wisconsin got lucky last week; it will not happen again against Indiana.
  • UCLA had a brief run of success against lackluster teams, but now that they are facing tougher competition, they are being exposed once again as the team they are.
  • Michigan is good, but not so good that it should be such a heavy favorite against a decent Northwestern team at a neutral field.
