Same Game Parlay (SGP): Ohio State vs. Purdue

  • Julian Sayin, UNDER 2.5 Passing Touchdowns at +132

Before you dismiss me as crazy, hear me out: I am aware that Saying has had 3+ passing touchdowns in five games this season, including his last two. However, the Purdue defense has allowed one over the last three weeks, and no one has thrown more than two all season.

  • C.J. Donaldson, Anytime Touchdown at -130

Donaldson had 34 total carries and for 115 yards over the last five games, but scored five times in those games with 1+ in four of them. Purdue has given up 16 rushing touchdowns.

  • Bo Jackson, OVER 70.5 Rushing Yards at -114

Jackson has gone OVER this mark four times this season, but just once in the last four games. Ohio State is expected to focus on the run game, which will likely mean enough carries for Jackson to go OVER this mark against Purdue’s lackluster defense.

  • SGP Odds: +588

A $100 wager will result in a $688 payday, your stake plus $588 in winnings.

Top Player Props

  • Fernando Mendoza (Indiana), UNDER 235.5 Passing Yards at -114

Mendoza has gone UNDER this mark in four of his last five games. A good PSU pass defense and Indiana’s run game will help him make it five of six.

  • Jordan Davison, Anytime Touchdown at -105

Davison has ten touchdowns on the year, with at least one in seven of eight games. Yes, Iowa has a strong defense that has only given up 11 touchdowns this season (four passing, seven rushing). However, Oregon has a top-ten run game and often utilizes Davison on the goal line.

Best Bets (Straight Picks)

  • Indiana -14.5 at -112 (vs. Penn State)

Penn State still has a solid defense, but the offense is in shambles and will likely struggle against an excellent IU defense. The Nittany Lions' defense will make IU work for it, but they will not slow the Hoosiers down enough to keep the game within a couple of touchdowns.

  • Washington -10.5 at -115

Wisconsin’s offense is terrible; actually, terrible may be too nice a word. In their six-game losing streak, they scored 10+ points three times (14 for a high) and got shut out twice. Washington has a top-25 scoring offense and a top-35 scoring defense.

Analyst’s Take / Expert Note

  • I am kicking myself for not betting against Wisconsin sooner (but glad I didn’t do it last week when they covered against Oregon).
  • Trends like teams not throwing touchdown passes should be recognized, but if anyone is going to throw 3+ against Purdue, it’s Ohio State.
  • Penn State’s defense is good, but Indiana’s offense is so much better and will eventually wear them down.

Upcoming Schedule
