The Cowboys' offense is struggling to move the ball. It scored 27 points against a UT-Martin team it should have beaten by 50, and also suffered a three-point loss to Oregon. Tulsa is only 1-2, but they showed signs of life on offense vs. Navy before losing 42-23. Neither team is excellent this season, which makes it hard to understand the logic behind Oklahoma State opening as 13.5-point favorites (which has since been reduced to 11.5 points).
There is no way these two teams will combine for over 54.5 points. Take the UNDER.
Iowa-Rutgers—UNDER 45.5 at -115
Rutgers has looked great against three teams that they should have looked great against. Iowa beat its soft opponents as well, but lost a tough one to Iowa State. The Hawkeyes brought in some help on offense, but it doesn’t seem they know how to maximize it. So, it’s a good thing the defense appears to be as stifling as ever.
They’ll keep the Rutgers offense from breaking out and hence keep the score UNDER the TOTAL.
Antwan Raymond, Anytime TD Scorer at -120
Both teams will be run-heavy in this game. While Tulsa has a nice committee working in the backfield, Antwan Raymond does the heavy lifting for Rutgers. He already has five rushing touchdowns on the year. It would be more shocking if he did not score than if he did.
