Middle Tennessee is averaging just 17 points a game, but Delaware is allowing around 21 points per game.

Delaware has a high-powered, explosive passing game. Middle Tennessee allows almost 30 points a game and has one of the most inefficient pass defenses in the country (129th).

The Blue Hens are not a strong run team; they’ve recorded 13 touchdowns on the ground compared to nine in the passing game. I don’t see the Blue Raiders slowing them down unless Delaware takes their foot off the gas—which they will not do until the second half.

• New Mexico ML at +100

Both teams are 3-3 and have won one conference game,. But New Mexico State has been getting it done at home this season (3-0). A couple of weeks ago, they were 1.5-point home dogs to Sam Houston State but crushed the Bearkats. I don’t expect the Aggies to crush Missouri State, but they’ll win this game.

• Delaware -8 at -110 (vs. Middle Tennessee)

Middle Tennessee state struggles to move the ball; it doesn’t matter if they are trying to run or pass. They aren’t good at either. Their defense may slow the Delaware passing game down in the first quarter, but I don’t expect the Blue Hens to need much time to get on track and blow the Blue Raiders out of the water.

• Missouri State vs. New Mexico State, UNDER 51.5 at -110

Both teams have terrible run games and neither has a passing game good enough to overcome a halfway decent pass defense that knows the pass is coming. Neither team has a great pass defense. Both have one good enough to keep the other from getting control of the game, resulting in a low-scoring contest.

It is easier to find value when betting on college football games during the week than on Saturday. Saturday games are typically the name schools that are well-known and that people bet on frequently. Teams playing on Wednesday don’t move the needle quite like Alabama and Ohio State.

When a 3-2 New Mexico State team is a home underdog to a winless Sam Houston State (or a mediocre Missouri State), books may not see enough action to warrant moving the line-- so take advantage of it.
