Same Game Parlay (SGP): UTSA vs. South Florida

• Byrum Brown (USF), First USF Touchdown at +320

Brown has recorded a rushing touchdown in five of eight games this season. In four of them, he had one in the first half and recorded the first one of the day for the Bulls.

• Owen McCown (UTSA), OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns at -130

USF struggles against the pass, so McCown will undoubtedly be passing early and often. McCown has thrown for a low of 84 yards to a high of 370 yards (last week vs. UNT), has had at least one touchdown pass in seven of eight games, and multiple in five.

• OVER 67.5 at -110

Both teams score a lot (40.4 and 34 points per game) and give up a fair amount (24.4 and 30.3 points per game allowed). The OVER is 6-2 for UTSA and 5-3 for USF.

• Camden Brown (Georgia Southern), Anytime First Half Touchdown at +160

Brown scored in the first half of five of the seven games he has scored in this season, including the last two.

• Byrum Brown, OVER 2.5 Passing Touchdowns at +100

Brown has thrown for 3+ passing touchdowns in four of his last five games. His chances of doing it again against this lackluster UTSA pass defense seem pretty high to me.

• Appalachian State -6.5 at -110 (vs. Georgia Southern)

Both teams have struggled on the road this season, which is why App State has a signifcant advantage as the home teams. Georgia Southern’s passing game will keep them in it, but the Mountaineers will pull away once the offense gets on track.

• UTSA +13.5 at -110

The Bulls (6-2) have one of the best offenses in the country, top ten in total yards (487 yards per game) and scoring (30.4 points per game), but struggle to stop the pass. UTSA’s defense will not be up to the challenge of slowing USF down but may have enough in the passing game to stay within two touchdowns

These are some of my favorite types of games to bet on because while the teams are good, there is often at least one aspect that stands out and tells you a lot about the team. Georgia Southern and Appalachian State are 1-3 in conference play, but neither has won a road game this season.

If they were playing on a neutral field, I could easily see tis game going either way, but since App State is at home, I’m going with the Mountaineers

As for UTSA-USF, you have two teams with solid offenses and lackluster to poor defenses. This game is destined to be high scoring, much like most of their games have been this season.
