+492 Same Game Parlay (SGP): Texas A&M vs. Arkansas

  • Marcel Reed, anytime touchdown at -160 (FanDuel)

Reed is the only other ball runner with multiple touchdowns than Le’Veon Moss. With Moss out for the immediate future, it would not be shocking to see Reed carrying the ball more near the goal line.

  • OVER 61.5 at -105

Both teams have high-powered offenses that can score a lot of points. Texas A&M can play great defense but is also prone to giving up big plays. Arkansas struggles on defense.

  • Arkansas +7.5 at -105

Texas A&M should win this game, but the Aggies haven't been good at putting teams away and keeping them down. The Arkansas offense is good enough to make a game of it and stay within a touchdown.

  • SGP Odds: +492

A $100 wager will result in a $592 payday, your stake plus $492 in winnings.

Top Player Props

Diego Pavia, UNDER 204.5 passing yards at -114 (FanDuel) (LSU vs. Vanderbilt)

Pavia has gone OVER this mark in three of six games this season and in two of his last four. However, in three games against Power Four schools, including two SEC programs, the OVER is 0-3. The Vanderbilt offense is pretty balanced, as is the LSU defense.

Gunnar Stockton, UNDER 1.5 passing touchdowns at -235 (BetMGM) (Georgia vs. No. Ole Miss)

Stockton has only six passing touchdowns this season in six games. Ole Miss has a solid pass defense and struggles against the run. It would make more sense for Georgia to focus on the run in the red zone.

Best Bets

Alabama -8 (vs. Tennessee) at -110 (Caesars)

I didn’t think Alabama could cover a double-digit spread vs. Vanderbilt, but the defense shut the Commodores down in the second half and did just that. Look for them to do the same in this game and cover.

South Carolina (vs. Oklahoma), UNDER 17.5 Points at -114

After losing 23-6 to Texas last weekend, look for the Oklahoma defense to reassert itself and dominate a South Carolina offense with talent but plenty of issues.

My Take

  • Diego Pavia could pass for over 204.5 yards against LSU, but the smart play is to lean on their defense and run game against the Tigers.
  • Texas A&M is a solid team. However, what they have lacked for years is a killer instinct that allows them to pounce on a team when its down and put them away—which is why they will not cover.
  • While it is no longer Nick Saban’s Alabama team, the Tide showed us last week vs. Vanderbilt that it can dominate when it wants to.
  • Oklahoma has had its issues in SEC play since joining the conference, but Brent Venables finally has the kind of defense we expect of him. It let fans down against Texas; it will not make the same mistake this week.

Upcoming Schedule: SEC Games, Week 8
