There are a few things I love about the Yankees chances today. The home crowd on opening day, especially against the rivals gives some extra energy to the home team. This Yankees lineup has also had a lot of success against Eovaldi, batting a combined career .311 average over 135 at bats. They’ve got the ace Cole on the mound plus a revamped defensive lineup that can be very effective. They should be winning by a few runs, so take the plus money.

With Berrios on the mound, the Blue Jays were unstoppable last year. Going up against the subpar Rangers lineup should put him on a similar path to start this year. The Rangers should look better than they did last year but still not on the level of the Blue Jays. Jon Gray is a formidable matchup but starting for a new team and against one of the best lineups in the league is a tough start. Expect the Blue Jays to win in a blowout.
