Same Game Parlay (SGP)

• Yoshinobu Yamamoto, 7+ Strikeouts at +105

He’s had 7+ in three of four postseason starts, including eight against the Blue Jays in Game 2. Since he tends to go deeper into games than many pitchers, I like his chances of getting at least seven in this game.

• Kevin Gausman and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, 12+ Total Strikeouts Combines -106

Based on what we’ve seen in the postseason, Yamamoto will likely be good for at least seven, especially if he goes deep in the game like he has been. Gausman, I’m not as confident about; he’s had as few as zero and as many as 6 in postseason play.

But I do think Yamamoto can pick up the slack if Gausman fails to get at least five.

• Vladimir Guererro Jr., 2+ total bases at +129

The only game in the World Series where he has not had 2+ total bases was in Game 2 vs. Yamamoto. But with this being an elimination game, I would not be shocked if the Dodgers were to pitch around Guerrero Jr., who has hit .364 in the World Series with eight hits (two home runs) and six walks.

• SGP Odds: +475

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, OVER 18.5 Outs at -109

The Dodgers are likely counting on another gem from Yamamoto to force Game 7. In his last two starts, including Game 2, he pitched complete games. If he can do it again, that would be fantastic for the Dodgers, giving the pen some much-needed rest.

He’ll have to go at least 6 1/3, which he has done in three of four postseason appearances.

• World Series MVP: Vladimir Guerrero -205 or Yoshinobu Yamamoto +1200

If Yamamoto throws another gem, extends the series to Game 7, and the Dodgers win, he’ll have an excellent case for MVP, more so than Shohei Ohtani (in my humble opinion). But I could see Guerrero closing out the Series with a clutch home run late in Game 6 to give Toronto the win.

• Toronto ML at +119

As much as I’d love to see a Game 7, I can’t get the image of Vlad Jr. smacking a late home run over the outfield wall off Yamamoto to give the Blue Jays the win.

There is something to be said for consistency and being so close to the finish line.

Toronto’s lineup had the best batting average in baseball this season at. 260 and continued that excellence throughout the postseason (.284) and World Series (.261). Five players have hit .300+ in the Series. If the Blue Jays do not finish the job in Game 6, they’ll do so in Game 7 on Saturday.
