Hot Take (and I said this last year): Tony Pollard is better than Ezekiel Elliot now.
Tony Pollard covered this line with flying colors last game with 98 total yards vs. a much better Cincy defense. He got just as much volume (9 rush attempts & 7 targets, Zeke 17 rush attempts/targets) and had 1.3 more yards per carry. Pollard covered this line both games vs NYG last year with just rushing yards with 74 and 75 rushing yards and with no Dak again he will be needed to keep defense honest with quick touchdowns. Interestingly enough, NYG gave 146 rushing yards in game 1 (with 26 receiving to CMC) and 93 rushing yards vs TEN. The interesting thing about the TEN game is that Hilliard (TEN backup and receiving RB) caught for 61 receiving yards vs NYG in week 1. This should be part of the Cowboys game plan going into MNF with no Dak.
Pollard is the younger back, has been playing better than Zeke, has a favorable game role with no Dak, and has proven success vs NYG last season.
