FlashPicks Insider's NFL DFS Guide Week 1 - 9/18

NFL DFS WEEK 2 GUIDE (SUNDAY 1PM MAIN SLATE)

I will guide you all through how to take down a DFS fantasy football contest. My views may be a bit contrarian from week to week but I assure you by the end of the year we will have people taking down tournaments left and right. Also I will be referring to FanDuel Pricing as that is what I know best but the same rules apply for all books just use your own judgement based on pricing.

There are two keys when it comes to taking down big field tournaments. One is game stacking - this means playing multiple players from one game as you believe that game will have one of the highest totals on the slate. Stacking gives you the best chance to take advantage of that high total. The second is finding the low ownership plays that end up exploding. You will shoot up the contest leaderboard if you have a player at 1 percent ownership with 20- 30 points. I will be using these rules to provide you with my favorite game stack and two to three sneaky low ownership plays (we can’t predict exact ownership but I will be targeting players that are projected to be under 10% owned.

Week 1 Recap

Last week went well! Our Saints stack exploded! It also was so cheap it should have let you add those expensive running backs like Taylor and McCaffrey who also did well. Theilen let us down however… it was still the Justin Jefferson show. Lazard didn't play but I promise you I will be back on that guy as soon as possible. Rodgers does not trust any of his current receivers. On to this week!

Favorite Game Stack - Lions/Washington

This is just the perfect spot for both teams. It’s the second highest total on the slate at 48.5 and both teams are coming off of 28+ point performances. When it comes to my stack I lean with the Commanders for a few reasons. The Lions have two great running backs in Swift and Williams. (if Swift does not play the Lions stack definitely goes up in value). The Commanders will have to throw the ball because they do not have this luxury. Need proof? Wentz had 41 pass attempts last week against the Jaguars. Lock me in. I will be happy with 32+ and I cant see Wentz getting less then that. The Lions just got torched for 38 points and 180 yard from AJ Brown. McLaurin can do the same thing… I can go on and on about this game but I love this spot - see below for my stack ranked!

1.Carson Wentz - $7,400

2. Terry McLaurin - $7,300

3. Jahan Dotson - $5,500 (Just plug in all three trust me)

Bring backs

1.Amon Ra St. Brown - $6,900

2. TJ Hockenson - $5,700

Sneaky Plays with Short Explanations

Chase Edmonds - $6000 - It is hard to find value at running back on the slate (barring any swift news) and I think this is a great spot for Edmonds. He had 4 catches for 40 yards last week and  I expect that number to be higher against the Ravens in what should be a much more competitive game. He also should be less than 5% owned which i would LOVE in this spot.

Damien Harris - $6000 - I like this for similar reasons as Edmonds. The game script should be there for Harris. I think the patriots will win this game easily and will just hand the rock to Harris and Stevenson. I'm going with Harris because he is the lead guy there. Steelers are also missing T.J. Watt which makes this that much more playable. He shouldn't be high owned at all so i'll take this. I'll probably play Harris in one line up and Edmunds in the other being that they are the same price.

I wish you good luck ladies and gentleman. LET'S TAKE ONE DOWN.
