These two teams have had contrasting starts to the new season – The Bills are 2-0 and have scored 77 points, while the Chargers dropped both games accumulating just 28. Buffalo’s offense is by far the more explosive one, their pass rush could cause problems for Justin Herbert. I like the Bills to cover here.
At 2-0 after the first two weeks of the season, the Bengals’ defense has been the standout so far. Despite averaging just 11.5 points per game, they are still favored against the 1-1 Steelers in Week 3. That’s mainly due to Pittsburgh’s struggles on offense; I expect the Bengals to control the game for long stretches and win by at least a touchdown.
I feel like the Commanders can keep this game in reach, their ability to run the football has been at a high level over the first two weeks (157 rushing yards per game average). Seattle's defense is certainly capable of making things difficult, but Washington should be able to move the ball enough and keep this within one score.
Some people might say this is a big number to cover, but after an 0-2 start (getting outscored 62-26) the Dolphins’ confidence levels have taken a hit. The Chiefs have proven to be one of the more prolific offenses after back-to-back 30+ point games, if they get ahead early the Dolphins will struggle to keep up.
Derrick Henry has impressed in the two opening games so far – he already has 212 rushing yards and four touchdowns. On top of that there’s also Lamar Jackon who adds another problem for the Cowboys defense. The visitors should win this by at least 4 points.
This game has all the necessary ingredients for a close outcome. Denver has shown its ability to keep teams from scoring in the opening two games, allowing no more than 20 points in either of the two games. Playing at home with a strong defensive presence should give them enough to keep things close here and hopefully stay inside a field goal.
