The Philadelphia Eagles (8-0) take on the Washington Commanders (4-5) on this beautiful Monday night.

The last time these two teams faced off, the Eagles cruised to a 24-8 victory. This was in late September and Carson Wentz was playing QB for the Commanders. The Commanders will have a new look offense with Taylor Heinicke, but this 10.5 spread is telling us that won’t really matter (not that you needed to look at the spread to figure that out).

Jalen Hurts put on a masterclass in that first meeting with 340 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Devonta Smith had 169 yards in a masterclass performance. The Commanders have been giving up yards to wide receivers all season long and I think that should be the target today. They have given up the 8th most yards to wide receivers this season and I think they have gotten lucky with their schedule or they would be giving up even more. They have faced Cooper Rush, Sam Ehlinger, and Justin Fields who don’t really stuff the stat sheet in the passing department. The other guys that they have faced aren't really quarterbacks with big threats and a big arm either. Jared Goff, Trevor Lawrence, and Aaron Rodgers who has the arm, but no weapons this year.

We targeted Justin Jefferson last week and it paid off. I think we target another WR this week and as much as I want to bet on Devonta Smith to repeat that performance, AJ Brown is the guy we need to bet here at over 70.5 rec yards. He is 4-4 to that number this season, but he has hit that against the Commanders already with 5 catches for 85 yards. He had 10 targets that game and that was with Smith getting 169 yards. Brown’s receptions line is 5.5 at + money and he averages 16.7 yards per catch. If he has 5 catches at an average of 16.7 yards that is 83.5 yards total and I think he has more than average tonight in a favorable matchup. I think Hurts shows off his arm tonight again and I love AJ Brown. I think he has close to 100+ tonight.

If you take a look for SGP legs, I love everything AJ Brown obviously and targeting the passing game for the Eagles. The Eagles are also 7-1 ATS in the 1st half while the Commanders are 3-6. You need some Commanders legs to make the odds go up and McLaurin has a great line to target. He has hit that line in 7 of his 9 games and had 100+ in the last matchup vs. Philly. The game script is favorable as well as the Commanders will most likely be losing and forced to throw the ball the entire game. Best of luck on those bets tonight!
