Hunter Renfrow started the season a bit slow in week 1, finishing with 3 catches on 6 targets and 21 yards. We saw a much more Renfrow like performance week 2, 7 catches on 10 targets and 59 yards. Unfortunately, he suffered a concussion on the very last play of the game forcing him out weeks 3 and 4. Hunter was able to practice in full the entire week and is set to return vs a big division rival.
Hunter became one of the premiere slot WRs in the league last season. He finished with 103 receptions on 128 targets, an incredible 80.5% catch rate. He averaged 6.1 catches last year and is averaging 5 despite a slow week 1. Well, today we get a chance to buy low. His receptions line is set at 4.5, and I love the over here.
He gets a great matchup vs the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season in their 2 matchups, he had 7 and 13 catches. In weeks 2 and 3, the Chiefs did not face much of a threat in the slot, but they allowed 7 catches to Greg Dortch in week 1, and 7 catches to Chris Godwin in week 2. KC will have their hands full keeping up with Adams on the outside, and I think it opens up the middle for Hunter. I love the chance that the game script is on our side here, with KC jumping out to a lead forcing the Raiders to air it out all night to try and keep up.
We will not have many chances to get 4.5 receptions at + odds, so I will happily grab that tonight.
