The MVP race is on and tonight the top two contenders face off. Austin’s #7 Sebastian Driussi and Nashville’s #10 Hany Mukhtar. The two highest goal scorers in the league. This is going to be a spectacularly entertaining football match.

If you’re Austin, this will be the first taste of a playoff atmosphere. This is only their second year as a club, and tonight's performance should be a good test. Austin sits in second place in the MLS West and are looking to avenge a 3-0 road loss to Nashville earlier this year. Nashville has playoff experience. But there's nothing quite like a road match, in a hostile environment, to try and secure a home playoff game. Both sides should be excited to play and have plenty of motivation to try for 3 points.
Austin is strong at home. They have an 8-4-3 record in their building. Nashville is better than I anticipated away. Holding a 6-4-5 record, that is the third highest in the West. Nashvill have struggled more in their own stadium than on the road. I see no real edge here except Nashville’s experience. I think this match probably ends in a draw. I think it goes without saying, I’m taking both MVP candidates for a goal.
