I love this game for goals. SKC has been sloppy this year and has picked up a lot of red cards. Four in the last six matches to be exact. However, they have been able to find the back of the net in five of their last six matches, only being shut out on the 28th of May vs Vancouver. Captain Johnny Russell from Scotland has been leading the charge. I like him to continue his hot streak today and will be looking at his anytime goal props. SKC got Daniel Salloi back today from international duty. Salloi didn't get many minutes playing for Hungry, but should be feeling great after his team won their group against titans like Germany, England, and Italy. Salloi is a great piece for SKC and should be considered for both goal and assist props.
Nashville has two of my favorite strikers in MLS with CJ Sapong and Hany Mukhtar. Neither got the call for international duty, and both played on the 12th of June vs San Jose. That match saw a lot of chances (6 SOOT each tem) but none turned into goals. I believe this gives us an advantage, because Iβm a believer in xG numbers. xG is short for βexpected goalsβ and is a running total metric measuring shot quality across matches. Sapong and Mukhtar added to their xG numbers and I believe one or both of them will finish today and find the back of the net. Both players also like to distribute and are not selfish. Often one assists the other. I will be keeping an eye on both their assist numbers as well.
As far as teams go, few have been better than Nashville at home. They have an excellent supporters section and a brand new stadium designed to be as loud as possible. I see them scoring 2+ and winning this game outright. I love the numbers we get on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.
