All of these legs correlate with one another. Both of these teams love to hold possession and will WAIT when taking their chances. I see both teams burning the clock for the majority of the game waiting on that perfect chance. Croatia is a veteran team who showed that they will maintain composure and play their game vs any opponent including Brazil last match. This is important as teams like Brazil and Argentina can rely too much on the pressure getting their opponent and bending them until they break.

That being said, I can see this game going into extra time again, but Argentina should have the better chances in regulation especially from Leo Messi. Croatia only had a couple chances vs Brazil and didn’t score until Neymar scored the first goal in extras. Messi has averaged 4.8 shots per game this World Cup hitting 2+ in all 5 games and averaged 4 shots per game in the Copa. He should have at least 2 more in another big stage game.
