Borussia Dortmund picked up an important 1 - 0 win in the first leg at Signal Iduna Park, but PSG may be able to turn it around on home turf.

PSG currently sit top of Ligue 1 after 31 games. The Parisians have 20 wins, ten draws and just one loss, leaving them on 70 points, nine points above second-place Monaco.

The Parisians have yet to win the Champions League in their history. PSG have made the Final just once in 2020, where they lost 1 - 0 to Bayern Munich. Since then, PSG made the Semi Finals in 2021 where they lost 4 - 1 on aggregate and the Round of 16 twice.
Borussia Dortmund, however, sit fifth in the Bundesliga. In 32 games, The Black and Yellows have 17 wins, nine draws and six losses which leaves them on 60 points, three points from RB Leipzig in fourth place.

The Black and Yellows, however, have lifted the Champions League trophy. The one win came all the way back in 1997 when Dortmund beat Juventus 3 - 1 in the Final. Since then the furthest Dortmund have gone is another Final appearance. This came in 2013 at Wembley, the same location as this year’s Final, where Dortmund lost 2 - 1 to arch rivals Bayern Munich.

In the second leg of the Champions League Quarter Finals saw PSG in Spain to take on Barcelona. Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 12th minute but following the red card to Ronald Araujo, Ousmane Dembele scored to make it level at halftime. Vitinha then put PSG ahead and a brace from Kylian Mbappe secured the 4 - 1 win on the night and a 6 - 4 win on aggregate.

Back in Ligue 1 PSG picked up another 4 - 1 win, this time against Lyon. An own goal from Nemanja Matic gave PSG the lead in the third minute and Lucas Beraldo doubled the lead in the sixth minute. Goncalo Ramos also grabbed a brace in the first half to make Ernest Nuamah’s goal a consolation at most in the 4 - 1 win for PSG.

It was yet another 4 - 1 win for PSG against Lorient. Both Dembele and Mbappe grabbed a brace to make Mohamed Bamba’s second half goal obsolete in another big win for PSG.

The visit from Le Havre saw Christopher Operi give the visitors the lead but Bradley Barcola equalised before the half hour mark. Andre Ayew regained the lead for Le Havre before the halftime whistle and a penalty from Abdoulaye Touré put them into the 3 - 1 lead. However, Achraf Hakimi and Ramos scored late on to rescue the 3 - 3 draw.

The second leg of the Champions League Quarter Finals saw Dortmund host Atletico Madrid. Julian Brandt and Ian Maatsen both scored to give Dortmund the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. An own goal from Mats Hummels got Atletico on the scoresheet and Angel Correa drew Atletico level. However, Niclas Fullkrug and Marcel Sabitzer both scored late on to give Dortmund the 4 - 2 win on the night and the 5 - 4 win on aggregate.

Back in the Bundesliga, Dortmund took on Champions Bayer Leverkusen. Fullkrug opened the scoring in the 81st minute but Josip Stanisic popped up with a goal in the seventh minute of extra time to force a 1 - 1 draw.
Dortmund opened the scoring against RB Leipzig through Jadon Sancho. However, goals from Loïs Openda, Benjamin Šeško, Mohamed Simakan and Christoph Baumgartnet gave Leipzig the 4 - 1 win.

The last time out for Dortmund was against Augsburg. A brace from Youssoufa Moukoko and a goal from Donyell Malen saw Dortmund 3 - 0 up before the half hour mark. Ruben Vargas got Augsburg on the scoresheet but goals from Marco Reus and Felix Nmecha secured the 5 - 1 win for Dortmund.

The first leg of the Champions League Semi Finals saw Dortmund host PSG. Fullkrug scored the only goal of the game in the 36th minute to give Dortmund an important 1 - 0 win.
