After the loss in the Final of the League Cup, Chelsea will look to book another trip to Wembley for the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup. Leicester have already knocked one Premier League team out and look to do it again.

Chelsea currently sit 11th in the Premier League after 26 games. The Blues have ten wins, six draws and ten losses, leaving them on 36 points, four points from Newcastle in tenth.

The Blues have a good record in the FA Cup, having made the Final on 15 occasions, including three appearances in a row between 2019 and 2022, though with zero wins in those Finals. Despite not winning the Cup since 2018, Chelsea have lifted the trophy seven times in their histories.

Leicester, on the other hand, currently sit top of the Championship. In 37 games, The Foxes have 26 wins, four draws and seven losses which leaves them on 82 points, just three points above Leeds and four points above Ipswich Town.

The Foxes’ only win in the FA Cup came against their opponents this weekend. Leicester beat Chelsea 1 - 0 in the 2021 Final, but this was The Foxes’ first appearance in the Final since their 1 - 0 loss to Manchester City all the way back in 1969.

Chelsea and Leicester have met 124 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 1905. The Blues have the better record in the fixture with 61 wins in comparison to Leicester’s 28 wins, the other 35 games ending in a share of the points.

In the last five games in the fixture, Chelsea have won on four occasions, with the other game ending in a draw. In fact, the last win for Leicester over Chelsea was in the FA Cup Final. Also, in the last five games, three of the meetings have seen both teams on the scoresheet.

Form Guide

In their last five games in all competitions, Chelsea have two wins, two draws and one loss.

Chelsea were behind at halftime as Jefferson Lerma scored from far out to give Crystal Palace the lead. However, Gallagher’s first goal saw Chelsea draw level with Palace within minutes of the second half and his second goal in the 91st minute gave Chelsea the lead. Enzo Fernandez also scored in the 94th minute to give Chelsea the 3 - 1 win.

The trip to the Etihad saw Chelsea take a surprise lead against Manchester City. Raheem Sterling gave The Blues the 1 - 0 lead at halftime but a goal from Rodri in the 83rd minute to grab a 1 - 1 draw for Man City.

The Final of the League Cup saw Chelsea fall at the last hurdle against Liverpool. The 90 minutes ended in a 0 - 0 draw and sent the tie to extra time. Virgil van Dijk scored the only goal of the game in the 118th minute to give Liverpool the 1 - 0 win.

Chelsea bounced back against Leeds in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup. Mateo Joseph opened the scoring for Leeds but goals from Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk gave Chelsea the 2 - 1 lead at halftime. Joseph scored again to level it early in the second half, but a 90th minute goal from Gallagher grabbed the 3 - 2 win for Chelsea.

Back in the Premier League, Chelsea took on Brentford. Jackson gave The Blues the lead but Mads Roerslev equalised for The Bees just five minutes into the second half. A scissor kick from Yoane Wissa gave Brentford the lead but a late goal from Axel Disasi grabbed a 2 - 2 draw for Chelsea.

Chelsea also take on Newcastle on Monday in the Premier League.

In their last five games, Leicester have two wins, one draw and two losses.

Leicester took an early lead against Leeds through a goal from Wout Faes. However, a crazy last 15 minutes saw three goals for Leeds. Both Connor Roberts and Patrick Bamford scored and an own goal from Faes secured the 3 - 1 win for Leeds.

In the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, Leicester took on Premier League Bournemouth. A goalless 90 minutes saw the tie sent to extra time. Abdul Fatawu scored the only goal of the game in the 105th minute to give Leicester the 1 - 0 win.

Back in the Championship, The Foxes hosted a struggling QPR. Ilias Chair and Sinclair Armstrong gave QPR the 2 - 0 lead. Ben Nelson did get Leicester on the scoresheet with 30 minutes to go, but QPR held on for the 2 - 1 win.

The Foxes bounced back against Sunderland. Jamie Vardy scored the only goal of the game in the 13th minute to give Leicester the 1 - 0 win over Sunderland.

The last time out for Leicester was against Hull City. Fabio Carvalho opened the scoring for Hull but Vardy’s first goal equalised for Leicester before halftime. Anass Zaroury regained the lead for The Tigers but Vardy equalised again just two minutes later, as the game finished in a 2 - 2 draw.

FlashPicks Prediction

Despite their poor form in the Premier League, Chelsea have impressed in knock-out football this season, making them likely to pick up a win this weekend over Leicester, but with both teams on the scoresheet. Chelsea 3-1 Leicester City
