@Matkafee Champions League Picks & Preview - 4/5

Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid travel to Manchester for the second time in three weeks. They dispatched of old foe Cristiano Ronaldo and Man United in the round of 16 and now turn their attention to the blue half of Manchester. A top of the table clash with Liverpool awaits City on the weekend so this match doesn’t come at the best time. 

City should dominate possession but Atletico will happy sit back and hit on the counter. I believe both teams have enough quality in attack to hurt the other and that’s why I’m playing Both Teams to Score at +124.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Portugal to take on a dangerous Benfica side. As I mentioned  before the Reds have a massive Premier League match this weekend against Manchester City. It’s impossible to not factor that in when handicapping this one. 

I suspect Liverpool will look to grab a goal or two and then try to see the match out. The Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez will cause problems and the crowd will push the home side to the final whistle. I can see Benfica grabbing a second half goal but ultimately Liverpool hold on. I’m betting a parlay of Liverpool to win and under 3.5 goals at +138.
