Fifth placed Manchester United host seventh placed Tottenham at Old Trafford. In this tie last year Spurs put United to the sword with a humiliating 6-1 win. United however have won the last two meetings and neither club can afford to drop points at this stage of the season.
Ralf Rangnick will hope Cristiano Ronaldo has “recovered” from his “injury” that saw him miss the derby last weekend. In that match United were humbled 4-1 by a ruthless City, led by a brilliant performance from Kevin de Bruyne. Even though Jadon Sancho scored a fantastic goal, United missed Ronaldo’s quality and presence leading their attack. While Spurs lack the same quality in midfield as City, Antonio Conte will be relying on his star forwards to get the job done. Harry Kane and Son Hung-min both grabbed a brace in the 6-1 last year and will certainly be excited to take advantage of a leaky United back line.
Picking a side in this match is tough but I actually lean Tottenham today. I see goals from both sides as a very strong play and at -158 that presents good enough value to be my best bet. As far as a goal scorer goes I think Harry Kane at +175 is a bet for me as well.
