What a pleasant surprise Sporting were in Matchweek 1 when they defeated Frankfurt 3-0 on the road. Now they host the group favorites Tottenham who also won their first group match. Spurs have a rest advantage because of English football’s pause this weekend in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth. Both of these clubs enjoy playing on the counter and I have to believe we’ll see goals in this match. I’ve opted to parlay both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at +105 here.

All anyone can talk about is the return of Robert Lewandowski. He’s a club legend who won everything during his time in Munich but he left the club this summer in an unscrupulous manner. His exit has caused heat between him and his former club, teammates and supporters. Bayern are a clear favorite here but Barcelona have the quality to hurt them. Initially I was interested in playing another both teams to score and over 2.5 goals parlay but was disappointed to see it priced around -190. Instead of that angle I’m pivoting to playing a Lewandowski goal at +104.

Anfield on a European night is always a tough ask for the visiting team. Is it impossible for Ajax to get a result here? Of course not but I’m not quite ready to bury this Liverpool team. The shock result of Matchweek 1 was of course Napoli’s 4-1 destruction of the Reds in Naples. Klopp’s been dealing with injuries in midfield this season which has made them look very shaky but he will be thrilled to have Thiago back for tonight’s match. I think Ajax will come to play and might grab a goal but I’m backing the Reds to win here. I’m parlaying Liverpool to win and over 1.5 goals in the match at -145.
