  • Both teams to score @ -122 With FanDuel
  • Over 1.5 goals @ -340 With FanDuel

These odds are correct at the time of publication and are subject to change.

The race for Premier League survival is heating up and Luton need a good haul of points to keep in touch with safety. However, from 18th to 14th, the clubs are only separated by just eight points, making every point that more important.

Crystal Palace currently sit 14th in the Premier League after 27 games. The Eagles have seven wins, seven draws and 13 losses, leaving Palace on 28 points, only eight points above the relegation zone.

The Eagles have struggled in front of goal this season, scoring only 32 goals in 27 games, giving them an average of 1.19 goals a game. Palace have been a bit better defensively, conceding 47 goals and keeping six clean sheets.

Luton sit just below Crystal Palace in 18th in the Premier League. In 26 games, The Hatters have five wins, five draws and 16 losses which leaves them on 20 points, four points from safety.

The Hatters have been better in front of goal in comparison to their league placement. In 26 games, Luton have scored 37 goals giving them an average of 1.42 goals a game. However, at the other end of the pitch, Luton have conceded 54 goals and have kept two clean sheets.

Crystal Palace and Luton have met 58 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in 1920. The Eagles have the better record in the fixture with 23 wins in comparison to The Hatters’ 19 wins, the other 16 games ending in a draw.

The game between these two earlier in the season was the first meeting in this fixture since 2007. However, despite the large breaks in this fixture, four of the last five games has been both teams on the scoresheet in relatively low scoring games.

Form Guide

In their last five games in all competitions, Crystal Palace have one win, one draw and three losses.

The trip to the Amex saw Lewis Dunk, Jack Hinshelwood and Facundo Buonanotte all score to give Brighton the 3 - 0 lead at halftime. Jean-Philippe Mateta did get Palace on the scoresheet in the second half but a goal from Joao Pedro to secure the 4 - 1 win for Brighton.

A London derby saw Crystal Palace host Chelsea. Jefferson Lerma gave The Eagles the 1 - 0 lead at halftime, but former Palace player Conor Gallagher’s first goal pulled Chelsea level just after halftime. Extra time saw Gallagher complete his brace and was joined on the scoresheet by Enzo Fernandez to give Chelsea the 3 - 1 win.

Crystal Palace took the lead again the next time out against Everton. Following a goalless first half, Jordan Ayew gave Palace the lead. However, Amadou Onana scored in the 84th minute to grab a 1 - 1 draw for Everton.

The Eagles finally picked up a win against a struggling Burnley. Josh Brownhill was sent off in the 35th minute for Burnley and this saw the floodgates open in the second half. Chris Richards, Ayew and Mateta all scored in the 3 - 0 win for Palace.

The last time out for Palace was another London derby, this time against Tottenham. Eberechi Eze opened the scoring for The Eagles just before the hour mark but goals from Timo Werner, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min saw Spurs grab the 3 - 1 win.

In their last five games in all competitions, Luton have five losses.

The visit from Sheffield United saw Cameron Archer and James McAtee score to give The Blades the 2 - 0 lead at halftime. A penalty from Carlton Morris got Luton into the game early in the second half, but a goal from Vinicius Souza secured the 3 - 1 win for Sheffield United.

Morris was on the scoresheet again for Luton, this time against Manchester United. However, his goal wasn’t enough as United held on through their early brace from Rasmus Hojlund for the 2 - 1 win.

The Hatters took the lead against Liverpool, with Chiedozie Ogbene opening the scoring in the 12th minute. Luton held onto this lead until halftime but goals from Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott gave Liverpool the 4 - 1 win.

In the Fifth Round of the FA Cup, Luton hosted Manchester City. Erling Haaland’s first half hat-trick gave Man City the 3 - 0 lead, but a brace from Jordan Clark brought it back to 3 - 2 early in the second half. However, Haaland bagged another two goals and was joined on the scoresheet by Mateo Kovacic in the 6 - 2 win for City.

The most recent outing for Luton was against Aston Villa. A brace from Ollie Watkins gave Villa the 2 - 0 lead at halftime, but goals from Tahith Chong and Morris made it level with 15 minutes to go. Lucas Digne popped up with a goal in the 89th minute to give Villa the 3 - 2 win.

FlashPicks Prediction

Luton have been in rotten form as of recent and it’s likely to continue against Crystal Palace. However, The Hatters are likely to continue their run of at least getting on the scoresheet as well. We predict: Crystal Palace 2-1 Luton Town
