With the two above them winning, Liverpool need a big win in the last game of the season to close the gap to the top as much as possible. Wolves, however, need a win to grab the tenth place spot.

Liverpool sit third in the Premier League coming into the last week of the season. In 36 games, The Reds have 23 wins, nine draws and four losses, leaving them on 78 points, seven points from second place Manchester City.

The Reds have been amongst the goals this season, scoring 81 goals in 36 games, an average of 2.25 goals a game. Liverpool have been less consistent in defence as usual, conceding 38 goals and keeping nine clean sheets.

Wolves, on the other hand, sit 13th in the Premier League in the last week of the season. In 37 games, Wolves have 13 wins, seven draws and 17 losses which leaves them on 46 points, two points from Brighton in tenth.

In terms of attack this season, Wolves have been average, scoring 50 goals in 37 games which is an average of 1.35 goals a game. Wolves have struggled somewhat at the other end of the pitch, conceding 63 goals and keeping five clean sheets.

Liverpool and Wolves have met 115 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming all the way back in 1894. Liverpool have the better record in the fixture with 60 wins in comparison to Wolves’ 37 wins, the other 18 games ending in a draw.

The last five games in this fixture have seen three wins for Liverpool, one win for Wolves and one draw. This tie doesn’t usually see both sides on the scoresheet, both teams scoring just twice in the last five games.

Form Guide

In their last five games in all competitions, Liverpool have three wins, one draw and one loss.

In the second leg of the Europa League Quarter Finals, Liverpool were in Italy to take on Atalanta. Mo Salah converted his penalty early on to give Liverpool the 1 - 0 win on the night, but they still crashed out after losing 3 - 1 on aggregate.

The trip to Craven Cottage saw Trent Alexander-Arnold open the scoring just after the half hour mark but Timothy Castagne drew Fulham level before halftime. Early in the second half Ryan Gravenberch regained the lead for Liverpool and a goal from Jota later on secured the 3 - 1 win.

This season’s Merseyside derby at Goodison Park was one to forget for Liverpool. Jarrad Branthwaite opened the scoring in the first half and Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled the lead to grab a 2 - 0 win for Everton, their first since 2010.

Jarrod Bowen gave West Ham the lead on the stroke of halftime but Andrew Robertson equalised for Liverpool just minutes into the second half. An own goal from West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola put Liverpool ahead but a goal from Michail Antonio just nine minutes later forced a 2 - 2 draw.

Liverpool were back to winning ways against Tottenham. Salah opened the scoring in the 16th minute and Robertson was on the scoresheet again right on halftime. Early in the second half Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott added to Liverpool’s lead and even with the late goals from Richarlison and Son Heung-min, Liverpool picked up a 4 - 2 win.

Liverpool also face Aston Villa for this week’s Monday Night Football in the Premier League.

In their last five games in all competitions, Wolves have one win and four losses.

The visit from top of the league Arsenal saw Wolves behind right on halftime through a goal from Leandro Trossard. Wolves failed to convert any of their three shots on target as Martin Odegaard popped up with a goal in the 95th minute to give Arsenal the 2 - 0 win.

Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute to give Bournemouth the 1 - 0 win over Wolves, despite The Cherries having Milos Kerkez sent off in the second half.

Wolves bounced back against Luton Town. Hwang Hee-Chan opened the scoring late in the first half and Toti Gomes doubled the lead just five minutes into the second half. Carlton Morris did score late on for Luton but Wolves held on for the 2 - 1 win.

However, the trip to the Etihad was one to forget for Wolves. Hee-chan did get on the scoresheet for Wolves but four goals from Erling Haaland and a late goal from Juliàn Álvarez gave City the 5 - 1 win with Wolves having just one shot on target.

The most recent outing for Wolves was against Crystal Palace. Despite Palace having a player, Naoriou Ahamada, sent off late on, goals from Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze made Matheus Cunha’s goal just a consolation as Crystal Palace won 3 - 1.

FlashPicks Prediction

Despite a rollercoaster end to the season for Liverpool, they're likely to pick up a win in Klopp’s last game with Salah likely to be on the scoresheet again. Liverpool 3 - 1 Wolves
