A loss for Luton last time out means The Hatters must win their last game of the season. Fulham, however, look for a win to grab the highest spot possible.

Luton sit 18th in the Premier League going into the final weekend of the season. In 37 games, The Hatters have six wins, eight draws and 23 losses, leaving them on 26 points, three points behind Nottingham Forest.

The Hatters have been inconsistent in front of goal this season, scoring 50 goals in 37 games, an average of 1.35 goals a game. Luton have also struggled defensively, conceding 81 goals and keeping two clean sheets.

Fulham, on the other hand, sit 14th in the Premier League as they go into the last game. In 37 games, The Cottagers have 12 wins, eight draws and 17 losses which leaves them on 44 points in pursuit of Crystal Palace and Wolves.

The Cottagers have also been average in front of goal, scoring 51 goals in 37 games which is an average of 1.37 goals a game. However, Fulham have been much better defensively, conceding 59 goals and keeping ten clean sheets.

Luton and Fulham have met 62 times in their histories, with the first meeting coming back in the 1908 FA Cup. Fulham have the better record in the fixture with 31 wins in comparison to Luton’s 22 wins, the other nine games ending in a draw.

The last five games in this fixture have seen three wins for Fulham and two draws, with Luton’s last win in the fixture coming all the way back in 1998. Also, both sides have been on the scoresheet in three of the last five games.

Form Guide

In their last five games in all competitions, Luton have one draw and four losses.

An own goal from Daiki Hashioka opened the scoring for Manchester City in the second minute. A goal from Mateo Kovacic and a penalty from Erling Haaland extended City’s lead before Ross Barkley grabbed a late goal. However, even later goals from Jeremy Doku and Josko Gvardiol secured the 5 - 1 win for City.

It was another 5 - 1 loss for Luton, this time against Brentford. Another late goal for Luton, this time from Luke Berry, was just a consolation as a brace from Yoane Wissa and goals from Ethan Pinnock, Keane Lewis-Potter and Kevin Schade gave The Bees the 5 - 1 win.

Once again Luton were behind at halftime. Hwang Hee-chan opened the scoring for Wolves late in the first half and Toti Gomes doubled the lead just five minutes into the second half. Carlton Morris did get Luton on the scoresheet with ten minutes to go but Wolves held on for the 2 - 1 win.

A penalty from Dominic Calvert-Lewin put Everton ahead in the 24th minute but Elijah Adebayo equalized before halftime. Luton couldn’t convert any of their other five shots on target and had to settle for a 1 - 1 draw.

The last time out for Luton was against West Ham. Sambi Lokonga opened the scoring for Luton in the sixth minute to give them the lead at halftime. However, James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and George Earthy all scored in the second half to give West Ham the 3 - 1 win.

In their last five games in all competitions, Fulham have one win, two draws and two losses.

Andreas Pereira opened the scoring for Fulham in the ninth minute against West Ham. Pereira added another in the 72nd minute to give Fulham the 2 - 0 win despite having less of the possession.

Fulham went behind through a goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold but Timothy Castagne drew Fulham level in the first half added time. Ryan Gravenberch regained the lead for Liverpool early in the second half and Diogo Jota scored the wrap up the 3 - 1 win.

After a goalless first half, Rodrigo Muniz opened the scoring for Fulham early in the second half. However, Crystal Palace finally converted one of their four shots on target through Jeffrey Schlupp to grab a 1 - 1 draw.

Both Fulham and Brentford had just three shots on target but were unable to convert any of them as they both settled for the 1 - 1 draw and a point.

The most recent outing for Fulham was against Man City. Diop was sent off late on for Fulham as a brace from Josko Gvardiol and goals from Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez gave Man City the 4 - 0 win.

FlashPicks Prediction

The stress of the relegation battle has been strenuous on Luton, but they are likely to pick up three points at the last time of asking. Morris is also likely to come up big again for Luton. Luton Town 2 - 1 Fulham
