My first tip to UFC bettors – go with the experience. In these undercard fights, it’s often a young up and comer looking to break onto the scene who gets paired up with a vet who may be past their prime. But Giles as the 29 year old vet is still sharp. He’s got very quick hands and good takedown defense. Undefeated 22 year old Morales on the other hand is the hot name, but hasn’t really been tested yet. He’s a patient fighter but that means he takes hits. That’s something that won’t work in this fight, so I expect Giles to push him and win this by decision.

One of the most exciting fights of the night for me, and my favorite picks of the night. Vieira is one of the best submission artists in the game, but that’s pretty much his only weapon. If he can’t manage to get Turman in the first round, then this one could quickly shift. Vieira doesn’t have the endurance to take this the distance. I don’t think Turman is a good enough striker to knock him out, but if the fight goes long he should be the victor by decision.

What a matchup. Ngannou might be the biggest hitter in the game and Cyril Gane is one of the best heavyweight fighters the UFC has seen. Gane is unnaturally quick for a heavyweight and punishes even the smallest mistakes. He’s an unbelievable defensive fighter and especially good at avoiding head strikes. That’s a problem for someone like Ngannou who lands most of his significant strikes to the head. But the real problem is for Gane, and that’s the raw power of Ngannou. It truly only takes one hit. Ngannou impressed with improved tactical ability against Stipe and I think he’ll only continue to improve tonight when he knocks out Cyril Gane in Round 2. Happy betting!
