Gonzaga has had a tough road already, with a slow start against Georgia State and a full on battle against Memphis, who admittedly was under seeded. Arkansas hasn’t exactly been tested in the same way but they played two surprisingly sharp teams in Vermont and New Mexico State. The matchup will be interesting since the two teams have very different strengths but both are very explosive. I just don’t see this turning into a blowout which the spread we have suggests. JD Notae and company play too hard to let the game slip. Finishing down the stretch will be difficult with the post presence Gonzaga has but they will compete which is why I love the spread pick.

There are a few great plays in this game but this one stands out to me. Houston has gotten by on some really gritty performances. They do so well on the offensive boards that it can make up for however they end up shooting. And they’ve shot uncharacteristically well so far. Arizona is just too big and too talented to let Houston bully the way they have so far and get those second chances. That being the case, they will try to lean on the defense, which plays to this under as well.
