Saint Peter’s has definitely proven they deserve to be here. They have a deep bench, play intense and aggressive defense, and might be the best 3 point shooting team left in this. But, this game should look closer to the Kentucky game than the Murray State game. Second chances will be very hard to come by given Purdue’s size and Ivey is an impossible matchup, but Purdue has often played down to the opponent’s level this season.

Saint Peter’s actually has the scoring prowess to stay in the game and won’t go down easy. That’s why I love the double digit spread.

This might be the closest game in the Sweet Sixteen. Two offensive minded teams who hit a strong groove in the second round. UNC scored at will against one of the toughest defenses in the country, and without Caleb Love and Brady Manek for much of the game.

UCLA put up 72 on St Mary’s in a very balanced scoring attack, and balanced similarly against Akron. And that’s without much of a performance from Johnny Juzang. If he’s finding his shot, the offense around him heats up fast. Even if this game starts slow after a long break, the offenses will explode at some point and the over will be very much in play.
