The VCU Rams travel to New York to take on the Fordham Rams for a 7:00 pm tip. VCU just had an impressive road victory against a solid opponent in George Mason. This brings their overall record to 16-7, 7-1 on the road.
They continue to climb the rankings in the A10, especially since Davidson just lost to Rhode Island a couple of days ago and St. Louis getting swept by St. Bonaventure. This now places VCU 3rd in conference with a 9-3 record and are sitting 1 game behind Davidson and Dayton. VCU has won 3 straight and 6 of their last 7 games. VCU has one of the best defenses in the country, ranking 12th overall.
Fordham on the other hand is 11-12 overall, 6-3 at home. They are coming off a win vs Duquesne and are now 10th in the conference with a 4-7 record. These 2 teams have not faced off since 2020 and VCU has won 4 straight matchups and 9 of their last 10.
VCU is a much better team and has a lot to play for right now. Fordham is a solid home team ats and I am going to respect that, especially since VCU is primarily a defensive team.
To be safe, I am going to parlay them and take their money line. I think for sure they win in this matchup, but feel indifferent about the spread.
The Wyoming Cowboys travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico to take on the New Mexico Lobos for a 9:00 pm tip. The Cowboys have been one of the most impressive teams this season and hold a record of 21-3, 8-2 on the road.
They have quality wins over Utah St. twice, Colorado St., Boise St., and Fresno St. They are currently on a 6 game winning streak and have won 11 of their last 12 games. Wyoming is in 1st place in the Mountain West Conference with a 10-1 record. The Cowboys have an amazing offense that can light it up and does so just about every night.
The Lobos are 10-14, 8-6 at home. They have won 3 of their last 4 games, but have come against a non-ranked opponent, Air Force, San Jose St. New Mexico is 3-8 in their last 11 games. The Lobos are in 10th place in the Mountain West Conference with a 2-8 record.
The Cowboys are a much better team than the Lobos, but the Lobos have been solid ats in their last 7 games. The Cowboys are a covering machine, but I am going to play it safe and take their moneyline.
Both teams have good offenses, but New Mexico has one of the worst defenses in the country. Wyoming has won their last 3 head to head matchups. In the last matchup, Wyoming won by 2 points at home.
