@SidekicksPicks March Madness Play of the Day - 3/27

The first part of my parlay today will be from the Kansas Jayhawks vs the Miami Hurricanes game. This matchup will tip off at 2:20 ET and should be an exciting one. I’ve been back and forth trying to figure out which team will cover and I think the line is pretty tight. Miami has the capability of covering and I can also see Kansas running away with this one.

Miami has been very impressive on the offensive side of the ball, especially during the tournament. Their weakness has been on the defensive side. They were able to contain a poor shooting Iowa St team by forcing turnovers and capitalizing on the offensive side. Today will be a tougher matchup for them on both ends of the floor.

Kansas is the more balanced team and will cause fits for Miami. They have a much better defense than Miami and can hang with them on the offensive side, especially since Miami struggles on that side of the floor. The big difference maker in this one will be who controls the glass. Kansas ranks 45th in offensive rebounding and 100th in defensive rebounding while Miami is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country and it's these stats which has swung this matchup in Kansas' favor for me.

The second and final part of my parlay is the second Elite 8 game on the slate, featuring the Saint Peter’s Peacocks and the North Carolina Tar Heels. Both teams have a terrific story in this tournament. The Peacocks are a true Cinderella team that has beaten Kentucky and Purdue, both teams I thought would make it far in the tournament. North Carolina has a chance to face off against rival Duke in Coach K’s last season!

This is another game where I think the line is tight. I can see Saint Peter’s covering and I can see them losing by double digits because of how impressive UNC has looked. But I think Saint Peter’s story ends tonight. Offensively they will not be able to keep up with UNC. I think ?North Carolina will jump on them early and not look back!
