This line came out at -120 and I have been trying to write this article as fast as possible to get this play out because it has already risen to -135 on some books.

Seattle Mariners @ Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals take on the Seattle Mariners in Kansas City in this three-game series. These teams are headed in two completely different directions despite their overall records. The Mariners are currently 82-67 on the season and they have a four-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles for the final Wild Card spot with 13 games to play. They are pretty much locked in to make the playoffs this season for the first time in 20 years. That would end the longest North American sports playoff drought of the four main sports. However, they have really been struggling lately losing series on the road to both the Angels and the Athletics. They are 2-5 in their last seven games, and they stay on the road to face the Royals who have heated up themselves. They have won three games in a row and four of their last five games overall despite their 61-89 record. They have also been much better at home this season overall going 37-41.

Marco Gonzales has actually been pitching a lot better lately, but he did get hit hard in his last outing against the Angels. He is 3-3 with a 4.10 ERA in his last seven games. The Royals have also been crushing lefties lately, they are ranked 4 th in the league in wOBA against lefties in the last 30 days. Brady Singer is expected to get the start for the Royals, and he hasn’t allowed a run in either of his last two starts. He is 7-2 with a 2.87 ERA this season at home. He has also pitched a quality start in seven of his last eight games. Julio Rodriguez also left yesterday’s game early with an injury so I highly doubt he will be in the lineup tonight. The Mariners have already had enough trouble scoring their past few games with just 1 run in four of their last six games. I highly doubt they magically turn it around on the road against a dominant Brady Singer without their best hitter.

The Royals avoided all their top bullpen arms yesterday and still picked up the win, so they should have all their top bullpen arms available today behind Singer.

I like the Royals at home.
