@KeepTheJuice21's +2560 Home Run Parlay & Cardinals @ Diamondbacks Prediction - 8/19

Home Run Parlay

We’re getting huge value out of Trey Mancini today and I can’t stay away. After going deep last night, Mancini has 14 home runs on the season. Not power hitter numbers but very solid. We know he gets on streaks too, both for home runs and hits. After an explosion of runs for the Astros last night, they face Kyle Wright in Atlanta, who’s unlikely to give up that same type of game, but it far from unhittable. Take the value on the new Astro.

There are a few matchup proof players and this year Aaron Judge is one of them. This pick doesn’t have quite the same value as Mancini but it has the consistency. Aaron Judge in his home park, facing a pitcher he knows in Kevin Gausman. Gausman was shaky in his last start and that won’t fly against the Yankees, who despite the cold streak are still the highest scoring team in the league. It certainly won’t fly against Judge.

St. Louis Cardinals @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Iron sharpens iron and the NL Central is showing some mettle (sorry) lately. The Cardinals are hot coming off a sweep of the Rockies which makes 4 consecutive wins – the best current streak in the MLB. They’ve done a lot of things right on both sides of the ball and it’s resulted in an average margin of victory of over 5 during the streak.

The Cards are clearly locked in, and they need to be with the Brewers right behind them. It looks very unlikely that the NL Central will have a Wild Card playoff team so the post-season hopes lie mainly in winning the division. The Brewers are coming off an impressive 2-2 split against the Dodgers and face the Cubs for what should be 3 winnable games. Knowing this, the Cardinals can’t afford to drop any, especially not to the Diamondbacks.

Don’t underrate Arizona either, they haven’t lost a series since August 3 rd (4 series in a row) and despite the record have a lot of fight in them. Luckily the pitching matchup also favors the Cardinals tonight though. Tommy Henry, the young Arizona lefty faces one of the best teams against lefties in St Louis. Miles Mikolas for the Cards is a class above and regained control in an impressive way in his last start. Take the streaking Cardinals for their 5th in a row and by a solid margin.
