@NickThePicker's Monday MLB Picks & Predictions - 8/15

I already put this out last night at 9 but wanted to explain the play a little more. First off I'm okay with the 9.5 if you're late to the party. You still need 10 to win, you just lose the push opportunity. These teams have played each other 6 times already this year and have gone over 9 every game. Kikuchi and Bradish are on the mound and frankly they both suck. Bradish has a 6.42 ERA on the year with a 1.62 WHIP, he has been a little better recently but he just faced the Jays and he gave up 3 runs in 5 innings for a 6-5 win. He also faced them earlier in the year as well, giving up 5 runs in 4 1/3 innings. Kikuchi has a ERA of 5.13 and WHIP of 1.49. He is a little better at home with a 4.22 ERA. He just faced the Orioles and gave up 5 runs in 5 innings along with (3 HRs and 3 walks). When he faced them earlier in the year he gave up 4 runs in 4 innings(2 Hrs and 4 walks). With both these pitchers having just faced each other I give advantage hitters and the weather looks good as well. 

Ohtani vs Castillo should be a great pitchers duel to watch especially with both offenses recent have been struggles. Castillo has a ERA of 2.71 and a WHIP of 1.04. He has settled well with his new team helping them get back to back wins vs the Yankees. Meanwhile Ohtani is hurting his back trying to carry this team with pitching and hitting. He is maintaining a 2.68 ERA and a WHIP of 1.05. Angels offense is beat up by injury and has been falling apart for months now. To keep things short GOOD PITCHING+ BAD OFFENSE= UNDER 7.

I'm fine with Padres ML at (-132) but I saw in the parlay combos that FanDuel had this option. I went to build the same play on a SGP and it worked out to (-126). It's a nice way to get a better number a ML for the Padres. Musgrove Vs Alcantara is another great matchup if you like great pitching. Musgrove 2.91 ERA and WHIP of 1.02 and Sandy 2.01 and WHIP of 0.95. The marlins offense hasn't scored over 3 runs in 15 games, YIKES. The Padres suck for the lineup they have and yes I'm still sour but this is their time to make it up to me. Padres win but hopefully not by too much.
