Francisco Lindor struggled in his first season as a Met, but is off to a solid beginning to the 2022 season. He is hitting .277 with 7 extra base hits in 13 games, but has some very eye opening splits:
- Day games: 9/25 (.360) with 6 extra base hitsÂ
- Night games: 4/22 (182) with 1 extra base hit
While we have a small sample size, last year's number represent a lot of the same for Lindor:
- Day games: 42/145 (.290) with 16 extra base hits
- Night games: 62/307 (.202) with 23 extra base hits
I spent a good amount of time looking into playerâs splits, and his are some of the most drastic I have seen. He just so happens to play a game this afternoon!Â
His other splits also support this play as he has hit .314 vs righties and .304 at home this season.Â
He faces off against Anthony Desclafani who he has faced 12 times. In those 12 at bats, Francisco has 5 hits including 4 extra base hits. Anthony tends to struggle more during day games to get outs. While he allowed a .225 opponent average this season, opposing batters hit .309 vs him during day games.Â
I like Francisco to have another good day at the plate this afternoon.
